FAQ
How Data Loss Happens:
There are 10,000 data losses per day. Most of the time data loss is caused by human error. It can also result from hard or floppy disc failure, attack from malicious programs, viruses, system crashes & other things such as deliberate sabotage.
What You Shouldn't Do:
If you've accidentally deleted files or reformatted the disk don't save additional files to your drive. Doing so may permanently overwrite the deleted items. If you are in the middle of a project when you discover files are missing, or you believe they have been deleted, save the current project to a floppy disk, or another storage device. Don't write, install software, or save anything to the drive where the missing files were located. If it looks like your data has gone; erased, reformatted, overwritten or corrupted it is still often possible to retrieve it, even if your software tells you it's too late.
Costs Of Losing Data:
For those who use their computers for business, the hidden cost of data recovery is down-time. The quicker you are up and running, the less money you lose to being down. Diagnosis takes between 1-2 hours from the time we receive the drive. We have one of the quickest turn-around times in the business, with most data recoveries completed within 24 hours.
What We Do:
Our data recovery service is non-destructive, no disc writes to the damaged media take place. All recovered files are written to CD or posted on our site. We ask for payment and then send back your media and the CD with your recovered data on it.
Turn Around Time:
Our turn around time is same-day. Often we can recover data within an hour.
There Is A Good Chance For Recovery If:
The disk can still be read. Even if the card has been formatted or the pictures appear gone. It is harder to recover data from disks that are not functioning. If you can't read your card then there is less chance of success.
Our Average Rate of Recovery:
High...each situation is completely different from the next.
How to Send Your Media:
Package your media in a padded mailer or padded box. Make sure to insure your media for its value as well.
